You deserve to be with...

No matter how powerful and real your feelings may be for someone, if that person cannot fully and honestly return them and therefore actively love you back, these feelings mean nothing. Being lonely, being alone, for many people, sucks. I get it, I get it, I get it. But still I have to say that yes, my belief is that being with somebody who makes you feel shitty or doesn’t honor the person you are is worse. Life is hard enough as it is without choosing someone difficult to share it with. You deserve to be with someone who is nice to you all the time.

Big Bang's Tonight

Big Bang is BACK!

Check out this video for their sort of comeback single, Tonight.

Pretty rockin' solid. I've been jammin' to this all this week and I still can't get enough of it. I am lovin' the acoustic guitar opening with such heavy electro beats. The auto-tuned chorus is not bad at all too.

Whatdya think?

J.Lo From The Floor

What's with people sampling recognizable hits from the past and make it more current these days? Flo Rida's Right Round, BEP's craptastic Dirty Bit, Flo Rida's Sugar, Jason Derulo's Ridin' Solo and lots more. That's the few that I can think of right now. Not necessarily a good thing, I must say.

Anyway, J to the Lo, well, she's back! (after few unsuccessful attempts last few years, I don't recall any song after the Jenny From The Block and Get Right) Appearing as one of the judge in one of TV most popular reality singing competition does have some of its magic.

Back to the music, here's the new song from J.Lo,
On The Floor feat Pitbull

Here's few things,

J.Lo is still rocking her bootylicious frame after all these years. Good for her.

I don't get the messy-just-got-out-of-bed hair nor the ant mount-like hairdo too.

That is one pretty hot club, well, mainly because Pitbull is in it. I have a huge thing for Pitbull, just so you know.

This is definitely a sober version of a typical Ke-dolla-sign-ha's song. Don't you think so?

That's about it.

I got pretty sick of this after 2 weeks but now I kinda dig it again after watching the video. But since it's toppin major iTunes charts everywhere, it seems to be a hit for J.Lo. Congrats!

Back to December

I have a confession. After the her mega hits Love Story and You Belong To Me, which I love. The thing is that I got pretty sick of Taylor Swift. Over exposure and all that stuff :/ And then the whole Kanye VMA incident happened, poor Taylor. The 1st single Mine doesn't get me all excited cos it's just meh. Same old, same old.

And then she release this 2nd single from Speak Now, Back to December.

Ah, I'm still a sucka for a good ballad and I am lovin' this. So this is why I'm sharing this here :) She look so much prettier these days, don't you think so?

Nova

I just want to show major love to my faves fantasy pop duo, The Sound of Arrows.

This is their brand new single, Nova and I must say that it is pretty brilliant.

The Sound of Arrows' Nova

And the Tiesto remix is going to be epic based on this short snippet.

And here's another amazing song from The Sound of Arrows.

Into The Clouds

All of the Lights

Here's the video for Kanye's new single, All of The Lights feat Rihanna and Kid Cudi.

Observation. It is me or is Rihanna gettin' more risque with her image these days? Her outfit in the video is sizzlin' hot (porno style)!

Another note. I must say that Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is a pretty darn good album. I know, I know, for someone like me who doesn't know much about hip-hop to give such a statement, but hey, if it's good, it's good. I don't care much about the rappin'/lyrics but it's all about the music for me. Nuff' said.

And here's the preview to MBDTF.

Highlights: Power, All of the Lights, Runaway, Devil In A New Dress, Blame Game and Dark Fantasy.

Born This Way

The 1000th #1 song in Billboard Hot 100.
The fastest song to reach #1 in iTunes history.
The #1 iTunes songs for 23 countries simultaneously.
Record breaking radio play and etc.

What's with all this you asked? Don't you know?

Well, it's the brand new spanking single from Lady Gaga!

Behold...

Born This Way

OK.

To be honest, when she released the lyrics for "Born This Way" I find it to be super cheesy, that's why I didn't blog anything about it. But after listening and digesting "Born This Way" for few days in a row, I do get it in my own way. It's not that uber cheesy when you sing it out loud. Don't you agree? It some how fits perfectly with the song arrangement and the chorus rolls out from the tongue like any amazing pop song should. Which is a good thing.

Next, I'm not going anywhere near the Madonna's Express Yourself controversy since I'm not familiar with that particular song myself. I love it when Glee performed it during the Madonna episode though :) I don't quite see the similarity til I stumble upon this video; a mash up of "Express Yourself" and "Born This Way".

I don't quite see the fuss. The tempo is kinda similar but that's about it.

Personally, I feel that "Born This Way" draw more similarity towards "Dance In The Dark" which is produced by the same producer, Fernando Garibay. Hm, "Born This Way" does sound like it belong to her Fame Monster era? And then it kinda struck me that "Born This Way" is not your typical GaGa song. It's not moody, lyrically! (cue "Bad Romance", "Paparazzi", and "Alejandro") It's some sort of the happy version of "Dance In The Dark", no? Heck, this is one empowering song! She is definitely putting her money where her mouth is! Just read the lyrics of "Born This Way" and you'll understand what I mean. I'm not too sure whether this is gonna be the new gay anthem for the LGBT community but one thing for sure, this is one hella pop song from a mega popstar that's hard to ignore from years to come. One thing though, she better don't have any dying theme in the music video for "Born This Way" (again cue "Bad Romance", "Paparazzi", and "Alejandro") or I'll be effin' pissed! It's a celebratory and empowering song for god's sake!

I have to admit that I only appreciate "Born This Way" after a few plays. I blame it on the huge hype surrounding the song. But like I said, the catchy chorus did roll off my tongue after a while. It's just silly of me to expect her to release something similar to "Bad Romance" and comparing it, right?

I'm not sure whether all of this is biased because she is one of my favorite artist but time will tell whether "Born This Way" will prove itself to be a song to be reckon with. But for now, after 200+ plays, I must say that I'm on a right track, baby, I was born this way. *paws up*

Whatdya think?

ps: I'm not gonna compare it with Britney's Hold It Against Me. Both songs are different and there's no point doing that. Plus, I have tons of love to share ;) I can't wait for both the music videos.

pps: Here's the fabulous Grammy performance of "Born This Way".

Egg-cellent! Sorry, can't help myself :P

Good Girl (Remix)

After crashing into my Top 30 songs of 2010 at #30 with Happiness, Alexis Jordan is back with her 2nd single, Good Girl.

"You might mistake me for heart breaker,
'Cause there's blood on the floor.."
I must say if she keep on churning out track like these, it's gonna be hard for me not to love her. Tackling the dance pop genre without being super tacky and trashy? Good enough for me :)

edited: Gosh, the Freemasons Club Mix is just heaven!
